My name is pronounced don-Yell. Among a bunch of dittering
perversions (like eating), one fact is true: I have always loved to sing and play the piano. I have a B.A.
in music from SFSU, and I piano to children and adults in the Harmony Road, Kindermusik, and Kodaly methods.
For the past 6 years I have been enjoying living and working among the San
Francisco singer/songwriter community. My style varies from classical influences, to indie rock and pop,
to poetic singer/songwriters such as Joni Mitchell and Leonard Cohen. My album of all-original music, "Stepping
Out," can be downloaded on iTunes, CD Baby, and Tower.com.
A native to Sebastopol, California, I have mostly performed
solo but recently began working with an indie-pop band on the Peninsula, Variable Stars. I also play for weddings, birthday parties, and other events.
Though I do love to listen to and absorb the millions of great artists out there who
have provided our musical soundtrack, my biggest source of inspiration is my relationship with God, who I think
is probably a funny guy and also loves gay people. Plus just regular weird life. Tell the truth,
tell the truth, tell the truth...
